  • Get Ready for a Great Weekend of Doubles Squash!

    Match times are now posted on Clublocker for registered players for the Harvest Hit Doubles Tournament!

    The Pickering Squash Club is thrilled to invite all members, participants, and spectators to join us for our highly anticipated Harvest Hit Doubles Squash Tournament! We are set for a weekend of exciting competition, great community, and fast-paced doubles action.

    📅 Tournament Dates & Spectator Information

    We welcome everyone—friends, family, and fellow club members—to come out and cheer on the players!

    • Dates: Friday, October 17, 2025 – Sunday, October 19, 2025
    • Start Time: Friday at 5:00 PM
    • End Time: Sunday, usually by mid-afternoon
    • Location: Pickering Squash Club, 1867 Valley Farm Road, Pickering, ON L1V 3Y7

    The doors are open to all spectators for the entire duration of the tournament. Come witness some high-quality doubles squash!

    Players, may sure you come early as matches are played one after the othger and times are fluid.


    🍽️ Tournament Perks & Social Amenities (For Registered Players Only)

    The following perks are exclusively included for all registered tournament participants as part of their entry fee:

    • Licensed Bar: A fully licensed bar will be operating all weekend. Please Note: The bar is cash only (we do not accept credit cards).
    • Food: Our popular Friday night samosas are back! On Saturday, we will be serving Nicole’s chili and Sid’s subs for lunch.
    • Souvenir: Registered players will receive a great tournament souvenir.

    🅿️ General Logistics

    Please be aware that the complex will be very busy due to multiple events. We strongly recommend allowing extra time to find parking; extra parking is available at the back of the building.

    • Towel Service: Please remember to bring a towel, as towel service is not provided by the club.

    All critical tournament information—including first match times, draws, and scores—is managed centrally:

    • Arrive Early: Please arrive well ahead of your scheduled match time. Match start times are estimates and subject to fluctuation, as matches run consecutively and may finish faster than anticipated.
    • Official Tournament Page: The definitive source for your schedule and all results is the official Club Locker tournament entrants page: https://clublocker.com/tournaments/17875/entrants Draws will be posted later. Continue to monitor Clublocker as your match times may change.
    • Mandatory Requirements: Eye guards are mandatory for all matches.
    • Refereeing: Winners must stay on to referee the following match.
    • Communications: Please submit any defaults, drop-outs, or match schedule issues to Nicole (contact details previously provided by the Pro, check your email).
  • Harvest Hit Doubles Tournament and the 2024 Heidelberg Materials Ontario Championships Welcome and Info

    The Pickering Squash Club in partnership with Squash Ontario is welcoming competitors to our annual Harvest Hit Doubles Tournament and the 2024 Heidelberg Materials Ontario Championships Presented by NFP Canada starting this evening, October 25, 2024!

    We have an extremely packed schedule this weekend with no open court time, so are asking competitors to please arrive early for your matches so we can stay on time.

    All winners will be expected to referee the next match on their court, unless told otherwise by a volunteer or Nicole. 

    Start times can be found in your welcome email. Draws were posted Thursday under the draws tab on Clublocker for each tournament this weekend.

    If you are running late or unable to make a match, it is extremely important you let Nicole know ahead of time so she can inform your opponent. Please see the welcome email for her contact information.

    Scheduled Events:

    Friday: Squash Matches 5:00pm – 9:30pm

    There will be snacks and of course drinks served at the bar in the doubles court area. Craft 360 is our beer/cooler sponsor for the weekend so you can redeem your drink ticket for a Craft 360 beverage at the bar located in the doubles squash courts. We have a cash bar only for the weekend and all alcoholic drinks are $5, please bring some cash.                     

    Saturday: Squash Matches 9:00am – 9:00pm

    Lunch 12:00pm – 2:30pm, lunch will be served on the second floor outside the singles courts viewing area. 

    Saturday Women’s Social and Mental Toughness Seminar – Meeting rooms 1 & 2 (upper level) – 4:30-5:30 pm

    We will be hosting a complimentary women’s seminar and panel discussion hosted by Marci Sier who is a squash coach and Certified Mental Performance Consultant, in Sport and Performance Psychology.  Our panel members include Hollie Naughton (PSA World # 20), Vanessa Steinwall, and Nadia Luttmer.  Topics will include: how to deal with nerves and how to create a positive mindset surrounding nerves, as well as the benefits of competition and the squash community!

    Sunday: Squash Matches 8:45am – 4:00pm, Presentation and Awards to follow

    Extra Notes: We do not have a restaurant facility at our club so please pack extra snacks! We will be serving lunch on Saturdaybut if you have specific dietary requirements, please pack your own lunch. There are plenty of eateries near the club. Our club alongside with Squash Ontario has worked very hard to give everyone a great tournament experience and we are looking forward to a fun weekend of squash, social and of course some great competition! There is no towel service at our club so please bring your own towel.

    Provincial Singles Championships and Harvest Hit Tournament combined!!

    Oct. 25th-27th 2024

    Yes, you read this right!  We will be hosting the Ontario Singles Closed Championships (Oct. 25-27th) which will include Men’s and Women’s Open, A, B, C, D, E draws.  This means everyone can play! 

    At the same time, we’ll also be running our annual Harvest Hit doubles tournament, including Men’s and Women’s B and C draws, plus a Mixed B draw. Women can participate in both the women’s and mixed doubles events, subject to court availability.

    Be sure to find yourself a partner for the doubles event. 

    How to Register:

    Sign up for both tournaments (listed separately) on the Squash Ontario website here. Don’t forget—register early to secure your spot and take advantage of the early bird discount for the Provincials!

    Looking for sponsors and volunteers

    We would like to make the Provincial Championships a huge success and we need sponsors!  Your sponsorship will go towards mandatory prize money for the open players, a doubles pro exhibition match (if we raise enough money), and providing pizza for all the players on Friday night.  

    Any donation amount would be really appreciated.  Tax receipts are available for all sponsorships. Sponsorships over $1,000 will get your company logo on the tournament shirts.

    We also need volunteers to help with Saturday’s lunch service. If you can assist, please reach out!

    Monday Night Singles House League

    Starting Sept. 16th

    Our Monday night singles house league kicks off on September 16th. Sign-up sheets are on the board across from Court 4. If you can’t make it in to sign up, email Nicole, and she’ll add you to the list. Please note, all players must have a Chestnut Hill Developments squash membership and be a member of the Pickering Squash Club ($40 fee—see our membership form).  

    Doubles House League

    Starting week of Sept. 16th

    We’ve posted the sign-up sheet for the doubles house league (all levels) in the doubles court area. Depending on your level, you’ll play on Monday (Div. 1), Tuesday (Div. 2), or Wednesday nights (Div. 3). You’ll need to find your own partner, or if you sign up solo, we’ll place you on the sub list so you can still get plenty of playing time.

    Fun Round Robin and AGM

    Tuesday Sept. 24th 6:00pm

    Join us for a fun round-robin on both singles and doubles courts on September 24th at 6:00 PM. This is a great opportunity to meet other players, sharpen your competitive edge, and have some fun! We’ll start with a short AGM in the doubles court area to update everyone on club events and gather input on future plans.

    We encourage everyone at all levels to come out for a fun evening of squash followed by a fun social.

    If you’re interested in joining the executive team, please let us know. We’re always looking for passionate members to help shape the future of the club.

    Bring Non-Perishable Food Items

    We will also be collecting non-perishable food items for the Pickering Food Bank that same evening.  

    T&D and OSDL Leagues – For competitive players

    The T&D/OSDL league registration deadline is coming up soon. Nicole needs to submit our teams in the next couple of weeks, so please let her know if you’d like to be on a team this season.

    Junior Squash Clinic

    Our junior clinics are a great way for kids to learn and improve their squash skills in a fun environment!

    The beginner players will learn the basics of squash including proper technique, footwork, rules, scoring and how much fun this sport can be!  Intermediate players will learn more advanced techniques to continue improving their skills through drills, fitness, and strategic play.  

    • Beginners/Intermediate (Ages 7-12): Tuesdays, 5:30-6:30 PM
    • Teen Beginners (Ages 12-16): Tuesdays, 4:30-5:30 PM
    • Lil Ones/Novice (Ages 4-8): Saturdays, 11:30 AM-12:30 PM

    We offer a variety of clinics for adults:

    • Beginner Clinics (Wednesdays)
    • Women’s Daytime Clinics (Thursdays)
    • Competitive Group Lessons (Book a 4-week group clinic with Nicole and/or Sameer—first come, first served)

    Membership Form

    To participate in any club activities, you must be a member of the Pickering Squash Club and have a squash membership at the recreation complex. The PSC membership form is available on our website and is easy to submit. After completing the form, you can e-transfer your $40 fee. Contact Nicole or anyone on the executive team for the email address to send it to.

  • 2022 Harvest Hit Tournament

    Our first Tournament in two and a half years happened on the weekend of October 14th to 16th. A great time was had by all. In the page noted below you will see the smiling faces of many of the participants.
