Prime Time Booking: Mondays & Tuesdays at 5:00 PM
We have updated our booking rules for the 5:00 PM time slot on Mondays and Tuesdays to ensure all players have fair access to these “Prime Time” courts for the Doubles House League Winter season.
Court 1: Managed by the Doubles Coordinator
Court 1 is primarily reserved for House League rescheduled matches. If you have signed up for doubles house league and need to reschedule your match, this time could be available to your team regardless of the day you ordinarily play.
How to Book: All bookings for Court 1 at this time must be made through Jim (Doubles Coordinator). You cannot book this court through Gametime for this specific time slot.
- House League Deadline: Matches must be confirmed with Jim at least 24 hours in advance.
- Recreational Play: If no league match is confirmed 24 hours prior, the court will be released for recreational play to Pickering Squash Club members.
- Important: To play on Court 1 during this time (even for recreational play), you must book it through Jim.
Court 2: Standard Booking (New for this Season)
Unlike Court 1, Court 2 is now available for standard booking.
- How to Book: Use the Gametime system as you would for any other court.
- Availability: This court is open to all members and is no longer reserved through Jim.
Priority & Fair Play Rules
To ensure a positive experience for everyone, we enforce the following “Prime Time” policies:
- No “Drop-in” Matches: House League teams may not use Court 1 unless they have a confirmed booking from Jim made at least 24 hours in advance.
- Confirmed Bookings are Final: If House League players do not book the court and Jim releases it to recreational players, the recreational players have full priority.
- Respecting Fellow Players: House League teams cannot ask recreational players to leave if the team failed to book the court through the proper channels. In this case, the league match must be rescheduled for a different time.
Why this matters: These rules prevent “Prime Time” courts from sitting empty and ensure that players who travel to the complex are not asked to leave the court unexpectedly.
