Christmas Toy Drive Fun Tournament Dec 10th

Hi Everyone,

The holiday season is almost here and I would like to invite everyone to join us for our annual holiday “toy drive” fun night.  The night will include both doubles and singles squash round robin fun games for all levels of players (the more the merrier)!  I ask that everyone bring an unwrapped toy to donate to a local charity (Durham Children’s Aid) to help support families in need of buying gifts for their children this season.  The evening will finish off at Sabina’s restaurant for some drinks and food for those of you who would like to join us!  Here are the details:

Date: Monday Dec. 10th
(both doubles and singles house leagues are done)
Time: 6:00 sharp
What to bring: an unwrapped children’s toy

Please feel free to respond to me and let me know if you would prefer to play doubles or singles or sign up on the boards in either the singles or doubles court area to participate in this fun, social event.  Looking forward to playing some “fun” squash and helping to put smiles on some children’s faces this holiday season!

Pickering Wins 3 Gold Medals!

Report from Nicole Pirko – Pickering Squash Professional

3 of Pickering’s top junior players take home gold medals in the Grand Prix Silver Tournament!

Pickering was well represented at this weekends Grand Prix Silver #3 tournament at Parkview Athletic Club.   A very special congratulations to Ranya Malik, Rayn Malik and Raamis Malik who all took home gold medals by winning their respective age group title. I was extremely proud of all our juniors who participated this weekend not only for their hard work and dedication on the court but most importantly for their positive attitude and sportsmanship throughout the entire tournament.
Great job!
